In many ways they are leading the way for the rest of the fish and shellfish industry to follow. One such leader is the Elite Fish and Chip Company of Lincolnshire. 2012-onwards Archived Content August - December 2013 So much has happened regarding professional qualifications, apprenticeships and the new level 3 IPQ and SVQs that we have set up three new news Streams - for Fishmongers, Fish Friers and from Seafish. July 2013 Work to develop a level 3 SVQ in fish and shellfish begins this month. This new SVQ will be the Scottish equivelent of the L3 FSIS qualification launched in June. June 2013 Level 3 Fish and Shellfish Industry Skills Qualification launched. First managers sign up for new qualification. Grimsby signs PPA with Seafish and the Seafood Training Academy. May 2013 Harrods have found their apprentice. April 2103 Blackpool and Lakes Colleges agree articles of association to run the North West Seafood Training Centre. Women and Work Funding secured for 20+ learners. September 2012 For the first time, visitor numbers to the Seafood Academy website exceed 12,000 per month, in fact they surged to almost 16,000 for September May 2012 A busy month with meetings in Edinburgh, York, Peterbrough and Grimsby.
