Helen King and Lee Cooper have led on this work for Improve and Seafish.

The work was completed in October 2013. It is hoped that SQA will have accredited the qualification by late 2013 and that it will be available via approved apprenticeship providers in early 2014.

Suggested Action by Employers

1.Have a look at the promotional leaflets for the related qualifications outside of Scotland to understand the benefits of these professional level qualifications.

2. Consider the range of units available in the proposed Level 3 SVQ.

3.Contact an approved apprenticeship provider to discuss the benefits and to pre plan your involvement in 2014.
