Fishmonger Apprenticeship Review 2023

Background to the Review

The Fishmonger Trailblazer Apprenticeship for England was launched in 2017.

Since late 2022 a small group of employers have been reviewing and revising the apprenticeship.

In November 2023 we started the process of wider consultation. This wider consultation will continue until December 2023.

Do you want to have your say about the proposed revisions? If you do then here's how you can go about it.

Below is a link to the first of three surveys. The scope of the evolving standard is too much for a single survey, so rather than one big survey we have opted for 3 shorter ones covering:

• Survey 1 - Occupational description and lists of duties of a fishmonger.

• Survey 2 – List of knowledge needed by fishmongers.

• Survey 3 – List of the skills and behaviours needed.

Each of these surveys should take no more than 10-15 mins to complete. We will release a survey each week and we hope that you can complete each survey within a few days of receiving it. If you do not wish to be part of this process then please let us know and we’ll remove you from the consultation list.
