Background

With five AFOS smoking kilns at our disposal, the Seafood Training Academy is able to offer smoking training courses at our main centre (Grimsby Seafood Village) and a variety of other venues across the UK. Courses will range from 1 day introductory to 5 day advanced practical courses.

Attendees on the 2 and 5 day training courses will be expected to have studied either the full eLearning programme in seafood smoking (for 5 day courses) or the open leaning module on fish smoking (for 2 day courses) BEFORE they attend the practical courses. S

Hybrid remote and face to face practical courses are under development with Seafish working with two Food Technology Centres in Wales, AFOS, Grimsby Institute and NESCOL. First courses expected mid 2023.
