    Who Are We?

    The Yorkshire and Lincolnshire Seafood Training Network is an initiative established by Seafish, the Seafood Training Academy, Grimsby Institute Group, Grimsby Seafood Village Training School and the National Federation of Fish Friers Training School in Leeds.

    The aims of the Network are;

    i) To signpost training opportunities to the onshore fish and shellfish sector in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire,

    ii) To encourage skills development and career progression,

    iii) To seek funding to support training needs,

    iv) To promote cooperation in the provision of fish and shellfish training across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, and

    v) To provide a voice to fish and shellfish employers in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire over training issues.

    National Federation of Fish Friers Training Academy, Leeds - fish frying and customer service skills, distance learning, open learning and at their fish frying training school in Leeds

    Grimsby Seafood Village Training School - fish smoking, fish and shellfish preparation and retailing training.

    National Centre for Food Manufacturing (University of Lincoln at Holbeach) - undergraduate and foundation degrees for the food industry. Support for food business innovation.

    Seafish - a UK wide network of skills and knowledge trainers, centres and apprenticeship providers. open and eLearning programmes. 100+ YouTube videos.
