    We are asking the members of each of the three Seafood Training Networks to help us identify priorities for their industry.

    What we have on offer is the same for Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland. but what we offer in the future can be influenced by you the Network member.

Fish frying skills - various
Fish quality assessment Intro (1 day)
Fishmongering - display (to be developed) a one or two day training course covering the principles of food retail displays and how to construct an effective fish and shellfish display for retail sales.
Fishmongering - Introduction to fishmongering - knowledge and skills training to meet the requirments of this qualification
Passport to Processing - developed by Scottish Seafood Association. Similar programmes are under development to support traineeships and work readiness programmes in England such as this one by Blackpool College
Smoking fish and shellfish - 1, 2 and 5 day

Basic fish and shellfish preparation
Fish Filleting
Fish quality assessment advanced (5 day)
Knife skills Level 1 piloted in Wales and Northern Ireland
Seafood Cookery Programmes - such as those available at Billingsgate Seafood Training School.

Bivalve Purification courses
Fish frying and Customer Service Skills
Fish handling - care of the catch
Fishmongering - product knowledge
Fishmongering - sales and merchandising

Introduction to the Seafood Industry - to be developed as a one day training course with substantial online support for post course developemnt Scallop Shucking and handling
